Abstract
In the ongoing journey of energy exploration, every breakthrough is a testament to the collective wisdom and hard work of countless individuals, illuminating the path forward for the industry. Recently, our company, in collaboration with relevant units from Dagang Oilfield, achieved remarkable success in the drainage and gas production project at Well Bin 109x1, successfully transitioning to self-flowing production. This milestone not only marks a significant highlight in our partnership but also injects fresh momentum into the development of the oil and gas sector.
Well Bin 109x1 serves as the central battleground for this drainage and gas production project, entrusted with a critical mission. The area where the well is located features complex geological conditions, with uneven energy distribution in the formation and intricate gas-water dynamics—truly a puzzle hidden deep underground, posing significant challenges to extraction efforts. Yet, our company’s technical team, working closely with relevant units from Dagang Oilfield, refused to back down. With fearless determination and unparalleled expertise, they meticulously analyzed every piece of geological data and carefully evaluated each potential extraction strategy, ultimately devising a scientifically sound and highly effective drainage-based gas production approach.
During the project implementation, the technical team encountered numerous challenges. The fluid extraction process required precise control of both force and depth—any slight deviation could have led to a failed operation. Yet, armed with their exceptional skills and extensive experience, they successfully extracted fluids from depths exceeding 3,300 meters, recovering more than 60 cubic meters of valuable resources. Behind these impressive figures lie countless simulated experiments, meticulous on-site adjustments, and round-the-clock dedication. Despite the harsh conditions underground—such as extreme heat, high pressure, and intense corrosion—they ensured the equipment operated reliably and the entire process unfolded smoothly. Every tweak in parameters and every maintenance task reflects their unwavering commitment to their work and their deep sense of responsibility toward the project.
The moment Well Bin 109x1 successfully achieved autonomous flow production, the entire project team was overwhelmed with joy. The rush of natural gas and liquids erupting from the wellhead sounded like a triumphant melody, signaling the success of this collaborative effort. This wasn’t just a reward for their hard work—it also provided invaluable lessons and insights that will guide the development of nearby gas fields. The stable operation of autonomous flow marks the ability to tap into vital natural gas resources, cutting down extraction costs while enhancing the stability and reliability of our energy supply. Meanwhile, fresh data reveals that Well Bin 109X1 is now producing over 10,000 cubic meters of gas per day.
The success of this gas drainage and production project would not have been possible without the close collaboration between our company and relevant units from Dagang Oilfield. Both parties fully leveraged their respective strengths, seamlessly sharing resources and complementing each other’s expertise in areas such as technology, equipment, and manpower. From the project’s initial planning and scheme design, through the mid-stage construction and equipment installation, to the final phases of commissioning, operation, and maintenance management, every step relied on the teams from both sides maintaining open communication and working together closely. This collaborative approach not only enhanced the project’s efficiency and quality but also laid a solid foundation for even more partnerships in the future.
With the joint efforts of both sides, we will surely create more brilliance and write an even more exciting chapter.
