Detailed description

1. Introduction

The quick-change device for the pumping unit motor pulley is a patented product independently designed and developed by our company. Compared to other types of quick-change devices, it features a simple structure, easy operation, and smooth performance.

2. Applicable Conditions

Suitable for belt replacement during belt adjustment and stroke adjustment of beam-type pumping units.

3. Background Technology

The beam-type pumping unit is the primary equipment used in oilfield crude oil production. During operation, tasks such as adjusting the stroke rate, replacing pulleys, fine-tuning belt tension, and swapping damaged belts are performed based on production conditions. In conventional pumping units, motors typically rely on the "cross-coordinate method" for positioning—specifically, two motor slides are secured using T-bolts paired with set screws. However, this positioning and fastening method is cumbersome, requiring operators to repeatedly pry and maneuver both the motor and slides during adjustments. Moreover, such adjustments necessitate shutting down the system, leading to significant time consumption and high labor intensity. Our company offers a quick-change device for pumping unit pulleys, enabling safer, faster, and more effortless motor disassembly, assembly, stroke adjustment, and belt replacement—all while minimizing downtime.

4.2 Structural Features

4.21 Million Universal Motor Mount

The motor mounting bracket can secure any motor.

4.2.2 Convenient and Reliable Adjustments

The flip seat lifting mechanism features universal support lead screws for quick and convenient adjustment, complemented by a locking pin system that ensures reliable positioning. Smooth, vibration-free operation is a distinct advantage of this flip seat.

5. Operating Procedures

When installing the motor, adjust the positions of the movable and fixed guide rails according to the motor's mounting dimensions—ensuring they match exactly—and securely mount the motor onto the moving platform. Next, fine-tune the axial position of the motor shaft so that the end faces of both pulleys (the motor pulley and the reducer pulley) are aligned flush, with their shafts running parallel to each other. When aligning the belt tension, use the end face of the reducer pulley as the reference point, ensuring the distance between the motor pulley's end face and the tightened belt is less than 2 mm.

The quick-change device for pumping unit belts and pulleys is used to adjust belt tension without stopping the machine—simply operate the lead screw transmission mechanism. When it’s time to replace the belt, first stop the machine, apply the brake according to operational procedures, then pull out the safety pin and rotate it slightly to disengage it from the locking hole. Next, turn the handle on the lead screw assembly clockwise to reduce the center distance between the two pulleys (the motor pulley and the reducer pulley), thereby loosening the belt so you can easily remove it and install a new one. Finally, reverse the direction of the handle to tighten the belt again, and then reinsert the safety pin, rotating it slightly in the opposite direction to allow its pin shaft to slide into the T-nut and lock securely within the locking hole.

When adjusting the stroke rate, first release the safety locking pin, then turn the handle on the leadscrew assembly to loosen the belt. Remove the original pulley, replace it with the desired pulley for the required stroke rate, and finally follow the operating procedures to properly tension the belt. Afterward, securely lock the safety locking pin in place.

6. Review

In summary, the quick-change device for pumping unit motor pulleys can significantly improve efficiency and reduce operational risks such as hammering and hand-pinching. This product is a patented invention of Tianjin Longxin Petroleum Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and currently there are no superior alternatives available.
