How it works
This spinner is designed as a self-rotating device for sucker rods to prevent continuous wear at the same spot on the rods and tubing. Installed on the traveling block, the device leverages the inertia generated by the alternating upward and downward strokes of the rod string, forcefully initiating a clockwise rotation of the entire rod string. This ensures that the rod string continuously rotates inside the tubing throughout the pumping cycle, effectively avoiding frequent friction on any single section of the sucker rod. As a result, the centralizers along the rod string—and particularly the areas prone to uneven wear—are worn uniformly, ultimately extending the service life of the sucker rods.
